BSNL EVDO Hikes Monthly Rental.
As part of Roaming Facility to be enabled, BSNL EVDO monthly rental will be increased by Rs. 100 from tomorrow. For instance, if you are paying the monthly rental of Rs. 550, it will be increased to Rs 650. This new tariff is effective from July 1st 2009 for all new customers. And for existing customers who are using this service for Rs 550, must have to upgrade to higher plan. (i.e Rs. 650) after being used the service for at least 6 months. If you consider this hike as a bad news, you might be wrong. BSNL will soon enable Roaming facility for this service. So that you can use this device in other cities all over India where the service is available without any extra charges.

BSNL is the first to roll out EVDO Internet in India. The EVDO was launched unofficially back in September 2007 by BSNL and now, after the establishing better EVDO network, BSNL has started to launch officially in most parts of the country.
