BSNL has now started EVDO service in Krishnagar, Nabadwip and Ranaghat in Nadia, Bharuch & Ankleshwar in Gujarat, Gaya in Bihar and Bhilai in Chattisgarh.
As of now, Bhilai user has reported the speed of 150KBps, In Bharuch and Ankleshwar, speeds from 200-800kbps has been reported. There is not much speed report on Gaya and Noida. But comparatively, Nadia has better speeds though EVDO service is available in few places.
Thanks to our forum members for updating us in this thread. If BSNL starts EVDO service (be it CDMA 1x or EVDO), please kindly inform us in that thread which helps others like it does in this post.
BSNL is the first to roll out EVDO Internet in India. The EVDO was launched unofficially back in September 2007 by BSNL and now, after the establishing better EVDO network, BSNL has started to launch officially in most parts of the country. Since it is a very new service, the official information is very little. So we decided to set up a unofficial portal with user-based information and more. its not Krishnagar yaar. Its Krishnanagar.
EVDO presant in jamnagar – gujarat since last two year but poor thing in that they dosent give maximum speed more then 1.5 mbps.
I shocked, its download speed in my laptop DEll inspiron 15R is about 7.2 mbps in Ara(Bihar)..
I have been using the BSNL products right from sancharnet years. EVDO was a slow start while TATA , RIM could give national roaming right at start BSNL could give after 24months or more. Speed is not great. But sufficient to do your job. That also gets effected at certain places like Bilaspur -CG , kerala some parts , Tamil Nadu some districts. The speed in Bhilai also not very great. Some times its not working also . Stability is required.
Can anybody tell me the cities in bihar where EVDO is available..Please provide the latest list of 2011.
