Hi,
I am from Chromepet, Chennai. I want to buy USB type EVDO Card. But initially I would like to take 250/- plan (144 kbps). Is it possible? and What should do. I want to do this because, in future, I can have the option to go for 550/- plan without changing the Card. I understood, if I buy NIC card, I have to purchase EVDO card, when I want to change my plan to 550/- |

RE: 250/- plan with EVDO Card
You can get the 250 Rs / month plan if and only if u purchase the device for 3,500 in the beginning. I don't under ur last two lines properly.
Please don't PM/Email me regarding any technical query. They will go unread/ignored. Instead do post them in forums. Let others know ur problems too. |

RE: 250/- plan with EVDO Card
It is not very clear as to the monthly rental of the EVDO card. It is Rs 550/- per month as told by BSNL office as against the NIC card @ Rs 250/- par month. But I found advertisements TV & other cities by BSNL that @2.4 mbps speed the rental only Rs 250/- per month. I have recently got one NIC card with 250/- rental which works fantastic speed of 230 kbps. I am interested for EVDO card with 2.4 mbps? Can anyone confirm if in any other city EVDO card is only Rs 250/- per month? Samir Mahapatro

RE: 250/- plan with EVDO Card
I also purhased EV-DO on 21.08.08. First bill received on 07.09.2008 for Rs. 202+25= 227 for 11 days. It is not paid so far.
AS I HAVE PURCHASED AND THIS DEVICE CAN ACCESS CDMA 1x PLAN ALSO I HAVE NO NEED OF FAST SPEED AND TO PAY 550+ST PER MONTH IS TOO MUCH FOR ME. NOW I WANT TO TAKE 250/= PER MONTH PLAN (144 Kbps) WITH THIS DEVICE PLEASE GUIDE, WHETHER I MAY TAKE THIS PLAN USING EV-DO DEVICE. |

RE: 250/- plan with EVDO Card
High Speed Internet is available on CDMA Technology. There is two type of device to access internet.
(A) Network Interface Card (NIC) : For internet speed up to 144 Kbps. Fixed Monthly Charges (for accessing Internet only) 250.00 per month with NIC card (B) EVDO Card : Internet speed up to 2.4 Mbps. 550 per month with EV-DO device. NIC card can access only CDMA 1x network with 144 Kbps speed. but EV-DO device (modem) can access both type of signal ( CDMA 1x speed up to 144 Kbps.and EVDO speed up to 2.4 Mbps.) I purchased EV-DO due to non availablity of NIC. My need is less. therefore I dont want to take 550 per month plan with EVDO device. Now i want to take 250 per month plan using EVDO device. Is it possible. There should be his own choice of custmer -which type of device he want to use to access CDMA 1x netwark. |
