Ahmedabad coverage

Hi Nisarg,

Thanks for the contact no. of Mr. Kotadia. I have applied for EVDO today. Hence no idea how much days it will take for the service to get activated. I will be using it in Jodhpur Cross Roads and Memco Cross Roads near Naroda Road. Memco is not covered under EVDO as per the coverage map hence lets see how much speed I get.

guys, i went to BSNL Navrangpura office. the officers are cooperative. as per their map, i am on the border of the coverage area. i have requested them to check the coverage at my place. they'll conduct a demo tomorrow at my place.

only one major problem: i dont have any residence proof. staying on rent and dont have a rent agreement in place.

the EVDO will not work outside ahmedabad. the state roaming service not yet activated now.

It's nice that they agreed to show the demo at your place. My factory comes under Railwaypura Exch. and they are not at all cooperative. They even refused my rental based application since in last few days many customers broke their card on rental hence they have made it cumpulsary to buy the card.

thts bad. if the person broke the card then BSNL wont give 1000 Rs. deposits .

OK got my EVDO device today as soon as I made the payment and submitted the documents. That was fast. Now waiting for the signal to come up which may be day after tomorrow.

Rushir. If they dont activate it by tomorrow afternoon call up Mr. Kotadia and he will activate your connection. Just tell him your number and ESN Number. you can find your ESN number on EV-DO Box.
Do let us know how is speed after activation.

I am at maninagar, ahmedabad,
Earlier when i got it, it was not showing any bars, only yellow light,
Then after two days it seems to be activated and getting green light with bars showing EVDO.
i tried user/pass written on box did not work, so i tried cdma as mention in forum, it worked.
now im getting only 100kbps speed. i will check now to increase it by searching forum.
