Hey Guys, I Phoned the head GM in Kalyan,MAHARASTRA and she said that its true there are such plans for Tariff but it has been withheld ,and yet not decided on what will be done with existing customers, She says if there is any change then it will be intimated in the bill or a letter from Bsnl. But for now this Tariff is WITHHELD AND THE NEW TARIFF IS NOT APPLICABLE FROM NOV 1,,, Got a relief with her answer

yup. confirmed here as well from Ahmedabad. Commercial Officer told me over the phone that new tariff will be only applicable to new customers. they yet to get circular for old customers.
Thanks you all for confirming and replying, I am surely relieved for some time now, I just hope BSNL comes with a good idea on Tariff or lets say they just scrap this new tariff and go with the old one 650Rs hahaha
I went to the exchange today.in front of me 4 new connections where given and the tarriff for them was same which we pay ie. rs 550.
I enquired about rs 999 the reply i got " We are planning to implement it may be in 2-3 months the reason for doing this many users have complained that sometimes they dont use EVDO for 10-15 days so y they should pay for unlimited thats why they are now introducing data based plan."
Hey Guys,
I request everybody and the administrator of this site to request all evdo users to oppose this new plan and agitate it unitedly. This will force BSNL to stick with the old plan.
Please guys do something

In all probability, BSNL may prescribe any new plans only for new connections, while existing users may be given an option either to continue with the old plans or changeover to a new plan if they so desire.
In such a case, none can oppose or object.
The problem will arise only if they thrust the new plans on current users, without giving an exit option as I had indicated in another thread.
If they do give an exit option to the current users, then also the current users cannot oppose or object. Either you change over or take your money back and exit. BSNL will be well within their rights in this case.
I presume that BSNL is aware of this now ( they have their own legal deprtment ), and that is the reason why they have withheld the new plans.
One has to wait and see how things roll out. IMO,shooting in the dark is not going to help.
