BSNL EVDO Coverage Details in Bangalore.

Hi,

I have the EVDO device with me... i stay in taverekere, i always have evdo symbol on the S/W that's installed on my laptop and have 4 points... but i haven't got any speeds as mentioned in this thread... i received 40kbps that's the maximum... is there any tuning that needs to be done my device?...

Folks,

Trust me... i bought the f..king evdo couple of months back... and iam staying in taverekere which is very close to the BTM layout/Koramangala towers... still i never have got more than 2 coverage points(with evdo symbol)... i tried inside/outside the house,roof top, finally went to open road.... never... never got more than 2 signals.. and for last 3 weeks Evdo symbol stopped loading... when i contacted customer care(dont expect any help from the public sector customer cares as the private sector customer care itself sucks) as usual they had no answer.... i got a bill for 1500+ were i haven't even browsed for more than 30 mins in last 2 months... that's how the connectivity of EVDO is... iam going to run my car over this device... that's how frustrated iam with this device provided by some fools.....

Hmm.. I can understand your frustration..
Just an advice to all who are looking for new connection. Please do check whether any of your friends/network have evdo in that area, get it checked before taking connection to avoid such frustrations. Noone knows the coverage unless you try to find it out.

the thing is initially BSNL ppl denied to give me the device and told me there is no EVDO coverage in my area, but when I told them..EVDO coverage is there at my place as one of my friend is already using it...i managed to get the device...Guests cannot see images in the messages. so i will also suggest , try using ur friends EVDO card in ur area n check if there is coverage available...

Note: u need to try difference places in ur house where u get max speed...e.g...like near open window...

Thanks for taking your valuable time to reply and for understanding my frustration... Also I cant imagine that there wont be a connectivity just behind forum where iam residing which is very close to both btm/koramangala base stattion... And more over... I just placed a query on this same thread a while ago to which i haven't received any update.... probably my fate... seems i would be the first one to try out in my place and warn the others.....

EVEN GOD DOSN'T KNOW WHEN THE CUSTOMER SUPPORT WILL IMPROVE IN INDIA(both private/public)....Does any one of the big players knows what the customer care is???? All are worst..... best among the worst is the Airtel.... It dosnt mean iam from US/UK when i say customer care in INDIA.... but iam working for an MNC(Linux Administration/support) and i exactly know how to deal a customer... never mind whether he pays $1 or $1000.... but no one cares about value for money/customer out here......

you must have got 40kBps not kbps..there is a difference..KBps is Kilo Bytes per second and kbps is kilo bits per second..
