hi, i am in orissa, staying at Puri which is 60km from Bhubaneswar. Since Bhubaneswar is EVDO enabled, can i purchase a Card from there and use it in my city ?? I dont use any other product of BSNL like landline, cell etc, still I able to get a card ?

u dont need a landline to buy EVDO. And your city must be EVDO Enabled to access EVDO network, or else u will just able to receive CDMA 1x

And I think BSNL Officials will force you to buy in your nearest telephone exchange

sorry for the late reply.. i tried out various places in bangalore, and unfortunatley, I didnt get EVDO signal anywhere! not at least on the artery.. ie bellary road-mg road-hosur road!

nd where in koramangala did u guys get the signal? i tried in my college (Christ) nd all i got was a 2 tower 1X weak signal tht wont even open my mail! and I called up the customer care, and they said its available in central bangalore.. though he didnt mention where the centre is marked :-P says its getting delayed.. nd here i sit with a dead slow black card, cursing everytime i log on to internet...

Hmm.. Jameandrew and veagles are able to connect to EVDO network in their places. And I think jameandrew is in kormangala.

central bangalore in the sense central part of bangalore. many areas fall into this region. I believe u know them.

Yes I am getting EVDO signal and can login also and browse the internet.
To be very precise with my area i live in Koramangala 1st block near to BDA complex.
