But your IP address says u are using BSNL DataOne BroadBand Connection. Do u own it and didn't use EVDO to post this info ?

Well, you are right, right now i am using Broadband. Actually initially i was using EVDO and that is how i came to know about this forum. But after losing hope of getting EVDO in nagpur, i decided to switch to broadband.

BTW, i was about to cancel my EVDO connection this month, but then i thought i should at least confirm with BSNL what is progress for EVDO and to my surprise, BSNL guy told me that they have launched EVDO in city and that i need to program the EVDO device again to get it.

So, i went to the BSNL office and programmed it again and yes now nagpur is there in the list of EVDO cities, although i am not getting full signal strenght only two bars, but hopefully will get more soon.

I always wanted to go with EVDO (not cdma) as it is very cheap @550 compared to what i am paying for my unlimited broadband @1125 (including tax) for 256 kbps..

So definitely, i will go ahead with EVDO and will cancel this broadband soon. The only problme is torrent downloads. I am also not getting any good speed on this broadband, so that is not a major concern for me.

Hopefully, we will find a solution for torrent some day.

RE: BSNL EVDO Enabled cities in India
Yes Sandesh is correct.
Please Add Nagpur in the list of EVDO enabled Cities. I am still using 1x, because i have not reprogrammed the device, but seen people here using EVDO. i will soon go for reprogramming of the device.

RE: BSNL EVDO Enabled cities in India
I tried EVDO in Pune and Nashik.
Speed at Pune-banner road is really very bad, but i got very nice speed at nashik-panchvati (around 1000kbps).
