BSNL EVDO PUNE RESULT

There should be no Issues running EVDO on Vista. Try "Make older programs run in this version of Windows" from the help content . I have been using EVDO in Vista for the last 1 n half yrs and its perfectly working.

I am also some times geting good speed but . stabality is the main problem with BSNL. EVDO and Latency is so high as compare to other service providr.
Wait for 3G next Gen Technology. In delhi it is already started. I don’t know when it will start in pune.

o Location surveillance

I will recomonded new user go with rentel otion. So in future you can switch to new technology that is 3G.

I have tried to setup EVDO on Microsoft vista . but I am not abel to make operational on vista.
Anybody having any idea . Which EVDO setup I can use for vista.

You had said you tested this in Old Sangvi in Sep 2008 and the speed was not so good. Do you live at Sangvi ?

Has the speed improved now ? What are the average upload and download speeds ?

I live at Pimple Saudagar near Rahatni Chowk. Do you know anyone who has bought a BSNL EVDO connection in this area ?

Does BSNL have a EVDO enabled tower near Pimple Saudagar ? I plan to take this connection but since they do not provide demo I am not sure about the speed and coverage. No one from the BSNL exchanges in Sangi, Wakad or Chinchwad are telling me ( or willing to tell me ) about the connectivity or tower near my area. Also when I enquired on phone they said the EVDO usb devices are in shortage and it will take more than a month for new connections.

Will you be able to help me check the speed at Pimple Saudagar ?

The best aspect is that the plan is unlimited and cheap.Whatever you do you don’t have to bother about paying any extra charges.The following details may help the aspiring users:

1.Activation Charges-500 Rs/-
2.Fixed Monthly charge for Net-550 Rs/-,
3.EVDO Card Price- 3500 Rs/-,
4. Service tax @12.36% -68Rs/-
Total amount -4618 Rs/-

So this is the price you have to pay while taking the EVDO connection.
Device Specifications- 1.Black Coloured EVDO Device(which may directly be connected to the USB Port) with a small antenna which is projected at the time of execution.Consists of LED which shows either of the two colours at the time of execution.Orange(showing the network coverage is not good) and Green(steady blinking of green colour shows proper network coverage).But the point here is that the device even works when it is orange in colour.I get 3 towers minimum and maximum 5 towers during full network coverage.Upload and download speeds are satisfactory.You can also get the device on rental basis.I donno much details abt it as i preferred to purchase it.
2.Data cable-If suppose you aren’t close to a network then instead of connecting your device to the USB port you can use your data cable which has three Interfaces.The first interface is connected to your device and the other two interfaces goes to the two USB ports of your PC.Here the device is not directly connected to your PC so you can shift your device here and there to find a network.
3.CD- You can install the required software to run the device.
This device is manufactured in China by the ZTE Corporation.
I would recommend this to all my friends as I didn’t have to face any problem while applying for it.
I got the device on the same day i applied for.I didn’t even go to the Bsnl office as it was delivered by the marketing agent of Bsnl at my home.
Results are more than i expected for.

Hi thr....pune pple..plz help me out i m facing the same problem upto ISP it goes ok but at internet it fails....and also tel me username and password for pune...wat is default ...m not able to activate it...shud i create a dial up connection?n wat username n pwd shud i put thr? i bought it on friday....i think the call center guys wil b available on monday....

Hi Friends,
I am in Pune n I bought the EVDO 4 days a go, n I get 4 bars but the download speed is a max of 7Kbps in bit torrent n direct download is a max of 5Kbps......
What could be the problem.........
