does roaming reduce speed?

If i buy the connection in coimbatore, Can I use that in Chennai? .

Also what is the exact cost? The BSNL people are telling me that it costs 4100 and that rental is not available.

@ maverick - you can use EVDO device on the entire tamilnadu (except Chennai city, since the towers are not avilable).
Where are you living? at Coimbatore? I took the connection on rental basis, please enquire the BSNL officials at Saibaba colony at coimbatore

Hi,
I am from Bangalore and recently got the EV-DO card. I am using it in BSK III Stage area, I am getting very bad speed even though I get strong EVDO signal (4 bars). Sometimes I am not able to connect to internet at all. I tried calling customer care also but the numbers are always busy.
