does roaming reduce speed?
i made a slight mistake when i took the connection.......i live in pettah (ernakulam, kerala)....i had taken the connection from bsnl office at 'Vytilla' but afterwards i realized the tower near me was not in the same place......
now the 'wings' appears in the connection window.......all the time....... does that mean the speed i'll get will go down???? with the current speed(for browsing, chat & torrents) i am wondering whether this was a bad idea.....pls help thanks in advance.... |

RE: does roaming reduce speed?
First of all what signal you are getting..Is it 1X or EVDO?
If it is 1X then you max speed will be around 250-300 kbps.. If it is EVDO with 4 bars you will get very gud speed..so please chka and tell wether you are getting 1X or evdo |

RE: does roaming reduce speed?
FOr EVDO with 4 bars as signal strenght you must get max speed of about 1500kbps..If you are not getting this much speed then definately there might be problem with the network.I would suggest you to call the customer care number in your area and told them about your problem..they will confirm that wether its a network problem or the problem is in the device.
I think customer care number is posted in this forum.pleas efind it and call them |

RE: does roaming reduce speed?
yeah, though he is getting 4 bars.. probably the signal strength is bad or weak..
Please don't PM/Email me regarding any technical query. They will go unread/ignored. Instead do post them in forums. Let others know ur problems too. |

RE: does roaming reduce speed?
NO dont do sytem format..Just call the customer care and ask wether there is network problem or not..IF not then go to the exchange and show them..
Or you just try reinstalling the application |
