I'm also in Pune and stay near NIBM. When i took the EVDO connection in early July, it didn't go past 3bars/100kbps most of the times, since last two months i was getting 3 bars/max 600kbps at times. Due to the nonprofessional attitude of the BSNL employees here, i never took this matter up but after i saw this thread and replied to your post, I thought let's try luck one more time with the BSNL guys. Now that i've asked them to clarify, magically i'm getting all 4 bars and 1000kbps on an average. I'm really trying to figure out as to what is the catalyst behind this upgraded service. Maybe you should also try asking them about limiting speed due to total number of users connected to the same site.. video streaming is really kewl.. torrents still don't work. today, I just had logged complaint reg my speed problem... lets see what happens.... they said that there is a problem for one server/tower... will update u on this if this prob gets solved... |

@ravi, @veryindian, and all other members who live in pune and face similar / same problem.
Hey guys, if u really think that u r facing worst speeds, or facing major network problem in an area which was passed in the feasibility test of bsnl, then surely u can get united and register a mass complaint against the poor netowrk or poor speed inthat region to JTO, or to some officer or register a public grievance or register a complaint in customer care center. U may think it wont work, but it works, only if it is repetitive and masses are involved. BSNL has to act over a complaint in 48 days of the complaint. Madanmohan mishra (NGP ) |
