RE: EVDO IN NAGPUR
^ Even in bangalore we have paid for EVDO while using CDMA 1x network. And still we are paying for it. This is what everyone feels when ppl few states are already able to access EVDO network at the same price.

In bangalore the schedule as been delayed and postponed to 1 month. So it will be here by the end of this month or 1st week of may.

So you ppl in nagpur may still have to wait, unfortunately a long haul. Please Keep bugging those BSNL officials and get the updates and update us as well.

RE: EVDO IN NAGPUR
Giga, if you don't get EVDO services you may submit a letter to AOTR and ask for refund, AOTR after checking with the Exchange officer may refund the money (refund is only at the closure time, in your case it will be credited in your account) For this , billing server should be modified . When Evdo services started you may again notify the exchange authorities to change plan services to EVDO,..
with regards,
vaithy

RE: EVDO IN NAGPUR
^ Nope, I dont want to get the refund and i'm cool enough to wait for the EVDO roll out. But for me, who was stuck on MO for 8 months, even CDMA 1x feels like a broadband Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register in our forum for free by clicking here to see images. And In fact, there is no need of getting a refund, coz we pay 550 for CDMA 1x and the same for EVDO. I think 550 for CDMA 1x is quite worthy for people on the move. And btw, the speeds are always higher then mentioned (theoretical) !

Anyway thanks for you suggestion and it helps others.

RE: EVDO IN NAGPUR
here at nagpur, if i pruchase the device, then EVDO rent is Rs.550(some thing like 300 plan charges + 250 EVDO rent), if Device on rent then +200 = Rs. 750/-

so EVDO with device on rent is 300+250 + device rental 200 = 750/-(exclusive of taxes)
EVDO without device on rent(device purchased) is 300+250 = 550/-(exclusive of taxes)

are these charges same every where around india?

Security Deposit( Independent of Purchase of the device) - Rs 1000/-
One month Advence Rental:- Rs 550/-

if purchase of device then device cost Rs 3500/-
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At the end of the billing cycle...
Mothly rental Rs 550/-
Monthly Device rental(only applicable if device on rent) Rs 200/-
+taxes + etc
total (with device on rent) = Rs 800/- APPROX.

But is u take connection in BSNL CDMA TARANG limited mobility mobile or fwt, then the monthly rental is 250/-, for unlimited acces, but the speed will always be limitted to 144.44 kbps even after launching of EVDO. Same if the case for pcimcia NIC cards.

RE: EVDO IN NAGPUR ?
Thanks god. At last, I am an EVDO ian. Nagpur is Blessed With EV-DO. I must accept that waiting resulted in fruitfull result for me, though very late, but now getting EV-DO and good speed, About 800-900 kbps highest and average 600-650 kilobit/second, with idm download speed of 50 to 102 Kilo Byte/second.
Suerly, much better and much cheaper than any broadband unlimited plan in india. EV-Do RoX.
