Need Help to Reconfigure EVDO Device

try this..
cover ur device antenna with ur hands till u see two bars. not 1 bar and not 3 bars. then try connecting in the same position. please reply with the result of this test for furthur giudance on the problem ui are facing..

one more thing i have updated the drivers to the new ones posted in this forum, the first day the speed was 40-50kbps with 3 bars... and now 0.4 ? what exactly should i do now ?

after waiting for 6 minutes,,, the dowload speed raised to 1.1kbps

Just go to the exchange..Give them the deivce and ask them to test in their system.If same problem persist then will reconfigure it or will change it

these guys are dumb... i went to exchange.. they tested the device and said.. "" Kya Chal to raha hai "" :X man i am so angry.. i told them about download speeds.. they said.. "" arrey sunday tha naa, DNS change ho gaya hoga "" WTH ?

i guess i will have to throw away this thing...

yeah man i had dataone 500 plan... but suddenly BSNL took away the landline service in this area.. i mean they gave everyone WLL instead of landline and EVDO modem those who had Dataone.. the DE(uttranchal) told me that Evdo will be launched JULY 1 @ 550 PM unlimited in Dehradun.. and said that i should bear in the entrim coz every WLL connection and voice calls also run on 1x and that hampers the speed...

yesterday i did a thing.. i uninstalled the Zte software and also deleted the connection and every resgistry key and folder manually.. after that i restarted my PC and again installed the drivers with the modem and now i am getting some speed... @18-25KBPS Guests cannot see images in the messages. I live in Electronic City and as the forum suggests we do have EVDO signals here, and i also got these signals the day i bought this device but at that time my device was not active and it used to say "remote computer did not respond". But since then i havent been able to get any EVDO signal.

I downloaded the softwares provided by vanjipuzha, tried configuring my device using the QPST tool that he had provided, but stil no effect. Please let me know if there is something else that i must do?

No, I did it my self using the softare and the help material that Vanipuza had uploaded, in one of the threads. Also i put in in the same settings as provided for bangalore by someone using 4 pics, but still i am getting on 1X and around 15 to 18 KBps speed.

well the software was up loaded and the intructions are provided for optimization and some error and trial testing. Not for the Default reconfiguration. It is for the people who face problems even after the re configuration. So please goto to ur exchange and get it re-configured.

I am trying to figure out the differnce between the 1x settings and the EVDO settings, but there are many hurdels, toppest one is that they change heavyly from city to city.
