Need Help to Reconfigure EVDO Device

Yes, I have seen the reconfiguration, its not done just on the PST software. I'm not revealing the way (but you can always find it, P.M. if you want). There is a database entry, which needs to be deleted and re-written. It looks more like an excel sheet, where the new data to be entered is provided to the BSNL guys. We too can write the databse provided you know the values which needs to be entered.

Also, its like an EDGE mobile phone - your phone is ready to accept EDGE signals, configured, and you know EDGE is on air. But until you subscribe for it, you wont get it. I'm trying to find the difference between EVDO and CDMA devices - phone number is not the criteria. Maybe its just access control.

I finally went to the the Jayanagar, Bangalore exchange, after trying to reconfigure myself for one complete week. and as i had expected they din know anything, and they directed me to their Main Switching Center at Whitefield , where i got it reconfigured to EVDO. The ppl there were supportive and they knew about this device.

Now i am continuously getting 1 tp 1.5 Mbps speed and download speed of around 150 KBps.

So ppl from Bangalore who want their device reconfigured to evdo, just goto BSNL MSC in whitefield. It is near the Safal factory. If you know ITPL, keep going straight from ITPL when u reach a circle take left and you will see a big tower thats the office(MSC).

I have My Device Settings(INI file and the PRL file) saved with me which could be used by other users in Bangalore for EVDO settings. But i do not know how do i upload it.

The Link given above is the link for the ini file, after you load this seting just change the MSIN no to yours and dont change anything else.

But I would still recommend going to the BSNL office to get your device reconfigured as using the PST sofware urself might ruin ur device and also as suggested by someone in the thread ITS ILLEGAL.
