RE: optimising dns.
there is nothing to think much if u face dns prob than you should switch to other.
208.67.222.222 is ip of openDNS and its best choice.
another ip of opendns is 208.67.220.220

BSNL DNS server (default in evdo)
218.248.240.79 ( ns2.bsnl.in)
218.248.240.23 ( ns1.bsnl.in )
218.248.240.208 ( ns3.bsnl.in )
218.248.240.135 ( ns4.bsnl.in )
218.248.240.24 ( ns5.bsnl.in )

try above ips and use whichever you experience better for you.

Please register in our forum for free by clicking here to see links.everyone knows that dns can help to improve the speed of the evdo connection. but when we enter the dns values in network connections the setting doesnt get saved. its erased every time i redial after diconnecting the modem(my experience)...so inorder to get the dns saved in the ipconfigs do the following...

start-> run enter "gpedit.msc" without quotes..

then do the following: local computer policy --> computer configuration--> administrative templates --> network --> dnsclient:

enable primary dns suffix and enter the dns value 208.67.222.222
enable dynamic update
enable dns servers and enter the same value

hope this can increase the browsing speed

(imp: backup every setting before u edit it)
