RE: Post Query Here!
Hi,
Is the USB device given by BSNL the same as that given by Reliance? Both these devices looks exactly the same with the exception that Reliance has 'CDMA 1x' written on it while BSNL has 'EV-DO' on it. Thanks Guests cannot see images in the messages. ^^ Reliance's device cannot take advantage of EV-DO network, while BSNL's device can make use of it as and when it's introduced

RE: Post Query Here!
yeah... BSNL's device can access both EVDO as well as CDMA 1x network, where as the reliance's device is limited to just CDMA 1x

RE: Post Query Here!
In that case, is it possible to use the device from BSNL over Reliance network?

RE: Post Query Here!
no you cant..... I'll tell you why..
BSNL's device comes without UIM card and it has inbuilt chip, which is pre-programmed with a particular frequency.. and even u cant use reliance device to access BSNL's network at the moment. But if some company come up with a device which lets us to use different EVDO providing ISPs then all the ISPs will start lauching UIM cards.. and u can use the device just like a GSM cellphone.. which means u can change the ISP as u wish..
