I recently joined a project in Bangalore and also bought a new laptop. But basically I am based out of chennai. When my wife try to buy a BSNL EVDO for my use in bangalore the official informed her that it may not work in bangalore...she did not buy it and informed me the same. since I will be moving to various places for projects I wanted one from chennai so that my wife will take care of payments. I am planning to get one this week when I visit chennai.
Can anyone confirm that if I buy in chennai will it work in any other state? Can I go ahead and buy one? If so where to buy... I will be staying in Nanganallur

I am having the same question. can anyone tell if one changes the setting of the usr id ,password and also the autheticate id then whether it will work in other states.

I think if one uses the autheticate id as well as usr id and pass word of the nci card then it may work. I got signal in other states also but could not connect it.
If chanhed then I think it maywork

Well in present conditions, the device will not work out of State. may Work Out of City. BSNL Is trying To add Roaming Facility, and soon we may Hear from Them. Till Then, EVDO service is restricted for the state it has been Bought.

Presently BSNL EVDO card works all over the westbengal ( where EVDO is available) except Kolkata.
I use it in Kharagpur, it works in other places also.

It does not work in other state, It works in the other places in West Bengal, where CDMA1x facility is available.

EVDO works for me all over Kerala.

I've tried in Bhopal, though I got mine in Indore... it works flawlessly.. in fact better than at home.. Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register in our forum for free by clicking here to see images.
